As an accredited service laboratory, RNA quality control is an integral part of our QC procedures.

Using our state-of-the-art Bioanalyzer instrument (Agilent) and NanoDrop ND-1000 spectral photometer, we carry out RNA quality control of customer-provided as well as in-house isolated RNA samples.
Both technologies combine the benefits of high sensitivity, accuracy and minimal sample consumption. As a valuable indicator for RNA quality, the Bioanalyzer software derives the RNA integrity number (RIN) from sample profiles.

Based on our quality assessment, we provide you with information on the RNA integrity and purity status of your samples.
We give recommendations regarding the applicability of your RNA samples for downstream analysis. If necessary, we discuss options for further purification.

As a specialty for microRNA studies, we offer to run our Bioanalyzer instrument with Agilent’s Small RNA Kit, to characterize your samples for size distribution and relative amounts of small RNA species (6-150 nt).
